All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exita and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts.

A new play written by William Prenetta
Hotel Worthington is an old hotel in 1949 Atlantic City, before the casinos came on the scene. Zelda Worthington, the hotel’s owner, is an eccentric woman who leaves the hotel to her sheltered niece, Laura.
Laura arrives at the hotel to find it in disarray. The only two employees are a French Chef, who cannot cook, and a maid, who will not clean! It is the weekend of the Miss American Contest, and other hotels are overbooked causing some of the contestants to seek rooms at the Hotel Worthington.
Add to the mix a mysterious woman, a fortuneteller from the Boardwalk, a postal carrier who wants to be a weatherman, UFO hunters, and other characters, and an evening of laughs is guaranteed!!
This was the night of the premiere of my good friend Will Prenetta's play Hotel Worthington at Ellington High School, of which I had the distinct pleasure and privilege of attending. Will's a talented teacher and playwright who wrote and directed the performance. (Sorry, but I didn't get any pictures at the theater.) Congratulations to Will and best of luck in his future endeavors. I'm sure I'll be posting pictures from his first Tony Award party soon!
