Greetings, All! It's time to unveil the new living room furniture and paint job at Casa de Moi and what better way than a Friday Night Movie! I realize it's summer and there are a lot of competing plans and vacations, etc., but if you're in town, come over and enjoy a movie on the new DVD player, the air-conditioned comfort and the affable company. I plan to host a second "New Furniture" movie night on Friday, August 13th, so if you can't make on the 30th, I hope to see you on Friday the 13th. Please RSVP your availablity for both dates so I can better plan. (Especially since the distribution list is growing but my living room isn't.) Thanks! ********************************************************************** The next presentation at Kevin's Friday Night Movies: (Friday, July 30, cartoon shorts to start promptly @ 8:00pm) *** The Lady Vanishes *** Probably the best of the early British Hitchcock with spies, trains, Hitchcockian humor and a cute, little, old British lady named Miss Froy. (British, 1938) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Starring Sir Michael Redgrave (yes, Lynn and Vanessa's dad), Margaret Lockwood, and Dame May Whitty. Won New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Director. Memorable Quotes: Gilbert: "I'm about as popular as a dose of strychnine." Iris Henderson: "I've no regrets. I've been everywhere and done everything. I've eaten caviar at Cannes, sausage rolls at the dogs. I've played baccarat at Biarritz and darts with the rural dean. What is there left for me but marriage?" Can you be the first to spot the director's signiture cameo appearance? ********************************************************************** Vote for the next Friday Night Movie on August 13th: A) Rebel Without a Cause B) Breakfast at Tiffany's Suggestions for future movie nights always welcome. Hope to see you there. I'll save you some generic low-fat, all-natural, snack food! Kevin
