Welcome to

The Friday Night Movie
Annual Oscar Contest

Oscar Night was
Sunday, February 24, 2019

The ballots have been tallied and the 91st Academy Awards are over.

Thanks to all for taking part in my 17th annual Oscar contest. Congrats to the winner, Julia Duda, who got 16 out of 21 right in the feature-length categories and 1 in the shorts categories. Second place goes to Stefanie Greene, who also got 16 right, so I had to go to the short films for the tie-breaker. Third place finishers were Emer Kelly and Rob Bowen with 15 features and 2 shorts each. In the non-com category, long-time Internet player Trish Mistric guessed an impressive 17 awards and 2 shorts correctly. Congrats to all the top placers and thanks to all who participated.

All the results are posted below. Using Survey Monkey made the process so much easier, so I'll contiunue to use that in future years.

Check out the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) Oscar site for more details on this year's Oscars.

Thanks for participating. See you on the red carpet next year.
